My First Project: The Lorikeets Boutique

Hey guru, this is a bit of a first for me – my very own blog post. I'm going to tell my journey of starting a fashion startup, that's a perfect blend of passion, perseverance, and a whole lot of hustle. In this blog post I'm going to take you through my first-ever venture into the world of boutiques. Brace yourselves, 'cause this ride's been one heck of a roller coaster!

Starting Line Thrills:

Ever started something so exciting it felt like fireworks were going off? Those early days were like Diwali for me. We had this grand vision of showcasing Indian handloom artistry to the world. Talk about starting with a bang!

Life Juggling Extravaganza:

Now, imagine juggling a master's degree, life, and running a business all at once. Yeah, that's what I did. Deadlines were like sneaky ninjas, and keeping up was like trying to catch a moving train. But hey, they say chaos is where the fun is, right?

Cash Flow Coaster:

Fasten your seatbelts, 'cause our revenue graph was a crazy roller coaster. After the initial high of landing clients, there was a bit of a nosedive. That's when brainstorming parties became a thing, and boy, did we cook up some wild ideas to revamp things.

Eureka Moments that Rocked:

Amid the chaos, there were these golden moments. Our revenue shot up – I'm talking $5000 a week, people! And it wasn't just about the numbers. It was about that validation and realizing that our hustle was worth it.

Fails & the Unexpected:

But, you know, life's not just a success story. We ventured into some Indian community events in Sydney, thinking we'd hit the jackpot. Exposure was great, but the cash registers? Not so much. Lesson learned: sometimes you've gotta pivot, even if it means turning down the noise.

Offline Ventures & New Beginnings:

Hold on to your hats, 'cause this is where it gets real juicy. We opened an actual brick-and-mortar store! March this year, we went offline. Talk about taking leaps. It's been wild, but seeing those customers walk in and engage? Worth it, a hundred times over.

Reflecting on this whirlwind, it's crystal clear that entrepreneurship is like a game of strategy, determination, and endless curiosity. The story of my first boutique venture isn't just about revenue graphs or storefronts; it's about embracing the chaos, owning the journey, and growing with every twist and turn.

A heartfelt shout-out to the founder, Sandhya Ramani Indrakanti who believed in this dream. Here's to the excitement of what's to come, the lessons we've learned, and the ever-evolving tapestry of life.
